Location and area

Spartaan is part of the Laan van Spartaan area development in Amsterdam-West, a lively urban neighbourhood that has been transformed into a modern residential area in recent years. Located just off the A10 ring road, this neighbourhood offers an ideal mix of living, working and recreation. Since the development started, various types of housing have been built, ranging from social rent to free sector and student accommodation. Spartaan is an 18-storey high-rise project using an innovative modular construction method. The homes were prefabricated in the factory and quickly assembled on site, which ensured a short construction time and minimal inconvenience to the surrounding area.

Living

The project offers 361 self-contained student flats, ranging in size from 27 sq m to 46 sq m, spread over 18 floors. Each flat is fully furnished and offers a modern kitchen, private bathroom and cleverly arranged living space, ideal for student life. The apartments are tailor-made for students, making them instantly move-in ready and equipped with all the essentials. Thanks to the height of the building, many apartments have stunning views over the city, contributing to a unique living experience.

Sustainability

Sustainability plays an important role in the Spartan project. The modular construction method has contributed not only to shorter construction time, but also to a reduction in construction waste and energy consumption. The houses use energy-efficient solutions such as district heating, which reduces the impact on the environment. In addition, attention has been paid to high-quality isolation, ensuring an energy-efficient and comfortable indoor climate. The building also features a green roof garden. This garden not only contributes to biodiversity and water collection, but also to a pleasant living environment for the residents. In addition, the flats are furnished using reused furniture, reducing environmental impact.

Living concept

StuNest’s student living concept seamlessly matches the needs of students, offering a combination of comfort, convenience and community spirit. The fully furnished apartments are move-in ready and equipped with everything a student needs. There are also several communal facilities, such as study rooms, relaxation areas, TULU services for borrowing household appliances, a Starbucks coffee machine, washers and dryers, and a smart package box. An onsite community manager supports residents and organises activities to strengthen the sense of community. All this makes Spartaan an ideal place for both study and social life, with a strong focus on comfort.
