Location and area

Lighthouse Tower is rising in the vibrant Strijp-S district, a former industrial zone in Eindhoven that has been transformed in recent years into a vibrant hotspot for creative industries, innovation, and modern urban development. Strijp-S is known for its mix of industrial architecture and modern high-rises, making it a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. The Lighthouse Tower, with its 109-metre height, will be a striking landmark in this dynamic part of the city. The design of the tower, provided by Black Dog Architects, blends seamlessly with the surrounding high-rise buildings and enhances the urban character of the area.

Living

Lighthouse houses 333 sustainable rental apartments. The apartments range from 40 m² to approximately 126 m², creating a varied offer for different target groups, from starters to smaller households, from studios to penthouses. The apartments will meet contemporary living requirements, with an eye for comfort and functionality. The facade will be clad with light gray and white bricks, golden yellow aluminum window frames and horizontal bands of white concrete.

Sustainability

A sustainable building with high living comfort for the residents of Lighthouse is our focus. The building contributes to a CO2 reduction, a high energy label of at least A++ on average and a BENG -14% score. On the outside, this is visible in the full brick façade and aluminium window frames that require virtually no maintenance and will last for generations. On the inside, this is noticeable in the efficient energy supply that originates from sustainable and local sources. In winter, the floors provide heat and in summer, the same floors provide cooling. The ventilation system is CO2-controlled and energy-efficient thanks to heat recovery. Triple (3-layer) glass is used in the windows, providing extra insulation and protection from outside noise. These windows are also fitted with heat-reflective glass, which keeps out as much solar radiation as possible during hot summer periods. Finally, water-saving measures and LED lighting with presence sensors in the general area are applied, which also contribute to an energy-efficient and sustainable building.
