Location and area

Wembley is part of the larger area development ‘Laan van Spartaan’ in Amsterdam-West, where more than 1,500 new properties are being built. This development includes a mix of free sector housing, social rented housing and owner-occupied housing. This will create a lively and diverse neighbourhood with residents from different backgrounds and cultures. Wembley itself is strategically located in this district, with a prime location close to Amsterdam city centre. Besides the residential buildings, there is a focus on greenery, with public gardens and green roofs contributing to the well-being of residents. Rockfield has also developed a foodstrip concept on the ground floor of Wembley. Five micro take-away street food restaurants are located here, each with a unique cuisine, enhancing the vibrancy of the area and enriching the residential experience.

The Wembley project comprises 126 rental apartments. The flats range in size from 34 sq m to 80 sq m and offer a high standard of finish. Many of the flats have private balconies, while a shared roof terrace is also available to residents. The housing types range from flats to maisonettes, with surface areas and layouts that meet the needs of various target groups. The focus is on compact urban living with high-quality amenities such as indoor bicycle storage, communal areas and roof gardens.

Sustainability

Wembley was designed with a strong focus on sustainability, achieving a GPR building score of 4.3, attesting to its excellent performance in terms of energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and future value. The houses are equipped with energy-efficient systems and high-quality insulation, and sustainable building materials have been used. The integration of green roofs and shared outdoor spaces adds to the ecological value of the project, while also reducing CO2 emissions.

Living concept

Wembley is all about community living, where young adults and students create a dynamic living environment together. This housing concept focuses on social cohesion by sharing common spaces and promoting interaction between residents. Residents can use facilities both inside and outside the building, including shared roof gardens, common areas and the various dining options on the ground floor. The Cohesion, the manager of the residential concept, offers various activities and services to strengthen this community.
